Until August 2013 ESPN America was an integral part of the digital TV program of Kabel Deutschland, Unitymedia and other cable providers in Germany. In the meantime, however, the channel has been discontinued in Germany. However, there are some ways you can watch ESPN in Germany.
Receiving ESPN players in a live stream in Germany
ESPN shows live broadcasts of the NFL as well as events of the baseball leagues MLB, NBA (basketball), NHL (ice hockey), NASCAR racing NCAAM (college basketball) and NCCAF (college football). In addition to the live sporting events, there is also an extensive news programme, similar to Sky Sport News HD in Germany.
– In Germany, ESPN can be received via the ESPN player.
– After a free registration, various ESPN programs can already be called up in the stream in the browser.
– In order to watch ESPN via the player in the live stream, you need a paid sports pass.
– The costs for the pass vary depending on the chosen sport and duration of access.
– Please note, however, that access to various sports via the live stream in the ESPN player may be restricted.
– In Germany, for example, there are no NFL or MLB broadcasts.
– A VPN provider can help here by giving you access to the ESPN player with a US IP address. This works e.g. with UnblockUS.
– You can pay for the access with a credit card.
