Why this site exists

People looking for a Smart DNS had two options: generic VPN affiliate sites that treat "unblocks everything" as a marketing bullet, or forum threads full of stale recommendations. Neither answers the questions that actually decide your subscription: which services are verifiably unblocked, what the real monthly cost is, whether your TV is supported, and which providers quietly retired the feature.

smartdnscomparison exists to answer exactly those, with evidence, in one place - and to keep discontinued and dead services visible instead of quietly deleting them.

What we are not

We are not a DNS provider, not a VPN operator, not a streaming service. We run no resolvers and process no subscriptions. We publish comparisons and research. Some outbound links may carry referral or affiliate parameters; scores and rankings are computed from published criteria only (see methodology and disclosure).

The tech

Self-hosted, no third-party requests, no accounts, no cookies. Ratings and comments are protected by proof-of-work as an anti-spam measure. We store no IP addresses - only salted, truncated hashes, also used by our anonymous visit counter (see privacy).
