The two steps everyone forgets
One: register your IP. Smart DNS services authorize your home IP address in their dashboard - skip it and nothing unblocks. Two: restart the device after the DNS change so it drops the cached resolvers. If your ISP changes your IP often, pick a provider with dynamic-DNS or an auto-update app (flagged on each review).
